Nirvana is operated by a small team of experienced professional mariners with a wide range of skills. All crew members are qualified and hold current First Aid certificates.

Philip Crothall, LLO - Owner and Master

Philip has a vision to provide year-round luxury cruising within the Marlborough Sounds and Tasman Bay. Philip has experience in motor cruising including the Marlborough Sounds in recent years. He is a qualified Master, but usually acts as host, rather than Master.

 

Kelly Bryant, ILM, Offshore Yacht Master (UK) - Senior Master

A keen and experienced off-shore yachtswomen and also a registered nurse Kelly has spent time as professional crew on several luxury yachts in the South Pacific. Kelly has spent a lot of time in the Marlborough Sounds, and knows the Pelorus extrememely well. Kelly holds NZ and UK professional qualifications.

 

Ross McLachlan, LLO

Ross has many years experience operating in the Sounds, in particular, Pelorus and Keneperu Sounds.

 

Jeanette St John - Hostess

Jeanette's role is to look after you, our guest. She has a background in hospitality in England, Australia  and New Zealand. Jeanette has had several crew roles over the years and has an excellent knowledge of nautical matters, safety and customer service. She also runs a boat grooming business, based in Havelock.
